Discount Office Furniture has decades of experience shipping office furniture. The price of shipping is already included into the unit price. Since we offer free shipping on all new products we will decide the best method to ship the item to you based on size, weight and shipping regulations. Smaller packages will usually ship via UPS or FedEx Ground. Larger items will ship via truck and include curbside/back-of-truck delivery. Very large items will require our special "White Glove" service, where we will bring the item inside. We do ship and deliver used furniture, but since it is typically already built and has been used we prefer to arrange the delivery details in person, over the phone, or via email. Discount has worked out all the challenges of ordering office furniture online, just order what you want and we will take care of the rest - it's that simple.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Free Shipping (New England and New York)


Yes, we have it. The item prices have already had free shipping factored in! Every item page will list our pre-arranged method of shipping for that item. Our mission is to get you the workspace you desire, and do so as simply and quickly as possible. Small packages do not usually require a signature to be delivered, but items that ship via Truck Shipping method do. Discount will contact you if you do not have a receiving dock or are a residential customer, as additional fees may apply under these conditions. Used furniture does not ship for free. In addition, we ship a majority of our products to the contiguous 48 states, so please call us with any questions.




Shipping Methods


Small Package Delivery - Smaller items that weigh less than 100 lbs, depending on size, will be delivered by UPS or FedEx. This service includes the item being brought into your office or home, but if no one is there to receive the package it may be left without a signature. If not, the carrier will either attempt to deliver your item another time or leave instructions on how to arrange another delivery. After your order confirmation, please allow up to 5 business days until the product is delivered to your location. Truck Delivery - Items that are too large and/or heavy for the small package carriers typically will be delivered by a carrier outfitted to handle larger packages. In most cases, the drivers are not required to remove the product from the truck and will need help to complete the delivery. This method is designed for bulky items or customers with a loading dock. If you select this method and are a residential customer or do not have a dock/forklift, we will contact you to confirm this method of shipping. Otherwise, Discount will arrange for ground delivery or inside delivery, which usually requires additional fees. After your order confirmation please allow up to 5 business days until the product is delivered to your location. Assisted Truck Delivery - For some orders that require Truck Delivery, the driver may need assistance removing the product from the truck and bringing it in the door. This usually applies for items that aren't necessary heavy, but bulky and difficult for one person to carry. We have identified all these products on the shipping tab on the item pages. After your order confirmation, please allow up to 5 business days until the product is delivered to your location. White Glove Basic Delivery - Items that are heavy, fragile or large require special handling and will deliver via a national furniture delivery service. The delivery service will call prior to delivery in order to arrange an acceptable date and time of delivery. This service consists of two people delivering the product to your room of choice and requires a signature. After your order confirmation, please allow up to 10 business days until the product is delivered to your location. White Glove Premim Delivery - Items that are very heavy, fragile or large require special handling and will deliver via a national furniture delivery service. The delivery service will call prior to delivery to arrange an acceptable date and time of delivery. This service consists of two people delivering the product to your room of choice and requires a signature. After your order confirmation, please allow up to 10 business days until the product is delivered to your location.




Delivery Time


We work hand-and-hand with our manufacturers and carriers to optimize transit times. For items shipping as Small Package Delivery and Truck Delivery, please allow up to 5 business days until the product is delivered. On White Glove Delivery please allow up to 10 business days for delivery, as these items require special handling. The delivery dates on your order confirmation indicate both the time it takes us to ship the product and the chosen method of shipping's transit time. Assembly


Not all items will shipped assembled. Items requiring assembly will be noted as Ready to Assemble (RTA) or Knocked Down (KD). By shipping furniture RTA or KD furniture costs much less than assembled. Since you do the final assembly the shipping charges are much lower due to the small/flat packages. In our 35+ years of business we have noticed assembly gradually becoming easier, which now usually only requires the use of the screwdriver, thanks to the use of cam locks. Returns and Damages


Discount Office Furniture has had returning clients since 1983. This can greatly be contributed towards our effort and integrity to stand behind our services and every product we sell. If you need to return your order give us a call at 413-737-0991. All products that wished to be turned must be in new condition and original packaging. Our return service will complete all the paperwork for you. All returns must have valid documentation. Any unauthorized returns are non-refundable. Depending on the circumstance, an outbound and return freight charge, as well as a restocking charge, can apply. If the item arrives damaged at delivery it is imperative you contact Discount immediately. Our well-trained team are experts at resolving issues regarding damages, given that we are informed on a timely basis. For transparency proper notation of damage ("product scratched", "carton crushed", etc.) on the delivery receipt (provided by the carrier) is required to ensure our ability to fully replace or refund your purchase. Damage claims must be made within 7 days of receipt of the merchandise.




Cancel or Change Order


If you for some reason need to cancel an order or change an item, color, finish, size, ship to address, etc. Call us as soon as you can at 413-737-0991 or Contact Us. The earlier you contact us the quicker we can resolve the issue. We will readily accommodate your request provided the order has not yet shipped. See Returns & Damages in the event the product already shipped and changes cannot be made.
